Neel is 9 years old and the owner of Neel’s Honey. He started his business three years ago for the Waltham Children’s Business Fair. He sells bottled raw local honey from his backyard bee hives. 

He started with one hive in the backyard 3 years ago to now having four hives.

 

This year he has opened up an online store called Neel’s Honey on Etsy. Neel maintains his back-yard hives, extracts his own honey and bottles them. He is very passionate about bees and beekeeping, and equally motivated on the business side. He is learning about production, marketing and now even sales.

Neel’s honey is never heated, only lightly sieved to remove large pieces of wax. Neel’s honey comes in different sizes from 8oz to 32oz bottles.
